A visual timeline of the milestones, partnerships, and product innovations that shaped who we are today.
Live events are extraordinary. Always have been, always will be. Yet the technology behind them hadn't kept pace.
Over the last 13 years, we closed that gap and set a new standard for what live event technology looks like—building a platform that looks and feels less like traditional ticketing and more like the experiences it powers.
This is how we got there. The next chapter is still being written.
A visual timeline of the milestones, partnerships, and product innovations that shaped who we are today.
Ten years ago, we bootstrapped this business with one goal: to fix a broken system. Since ticketing tech wasn’t keeping up with the rest of eCommerce, fans and organizers alike were paying the price.
So we built something better: a modern, flexible platform designed to handle real-world event complexity. Today, Tixr powers leading brands around the world, but our mission hasn’t changed—we’re here to solve legacy problems with smart tools and fan-first thinking.
Two UCLA alumni and passionate eventgoers set out to design a smarter system built for the pace and complexity of live events.
Unlike traditional ticketing companies, Tixr began with a fan-focused mindset, addressing what our founders saw as a fundamental problem: while live events were exceptional, the ticketing experience was not.

Early designs, product MVPs, and internal tools began to reflect the core principles behind our vision for live events ticketing: flexibility, control, and elevated experience.

Our first event went live: Pusha T at Anthem in Nashville. That show marked more than just a ticket sale. It proved Tixr could handle real-world live events and set the foundation for everything that followed.

Built for fans, the app made it easier to browse events, purchase tickets, and access them on the go. With a clean interface and mobile-first design, it set the stage for a better, more flexible ticketing experience.

Backstage launched as the command center for organizers—a centralized platform to create and manage events, track sales, and analyze data. It laid the foundation for how our partners interacted with the Tixr ecosystem behind the scenes.
This launch gave organizers a powerful way to increase conversions on high-value purchases by letting fans pay over time. Integrated across Tixr, Backstage, and our apps, the feature set the foundation for smarter, more accessible checkout experiences.
Organizers across sports, music, nightlife, and fan conventions turned to Tixr to power live experiences.
