In April 2013, Tixr hires it’s first designer, Stefan Noergaard, a contractor from Sweden. Robert + Stefan shaped Tixr’s early brand and designed the MVPs of Tixr, Backstage, and Door.
Austin takes over UX1 and finalizes the first complete version of TIXR before public launch, establishing the foundational user experience for all future developments.
The shot taken at Shaun White’s Air + Style Festival in LA and uploaded to Unsplash by Austin has become an iconic image in the music industry and is still used today by thousands of companies.
John Ikemura joins TIXR as the Designer and Art Director, leading the redesign of the TIXR branding and updates to Studio and Door, while also producing the first Brand Book alongside the launch of Creators 1.0, the initial version of its B2B brand site.
At the end of 2019, we expanded our event ticketing beyond just general admission. We started to dive into the realm of complex event experiences that offer unique, immersive opportunities for clients and attendees.
We redesigned our UI to align with evolving design trends and ensure the experience remained fresh, modern, and intuitive. This wasn’t just a visual update—it was a foundational shift that allowed us to streamline patterns, improve usability, and establish a scalable system for future enhancements. UX3 sets the stage for what came next, creating a flexible design framework we can continue to build on as our product grows.
During this time in the design industry, Sketch was being phased out and Figma was becoming the new industry standard. After switching to Figma, we officially kicked off our brand new Global Design System that we still use today for all of our designs.
Josiah joins the design team to lead a full re-design of the Tixr ecosystem, including the Global Design System, UX4 and new features.
Bui started off as a Design Intern and came out guns blazing during his first couple of months, learning at mach speed and supporting the team with complex component designs and building prototypes which led him to landing the role as an official Product Designer.
Starting off the new year with a bang, we started to concept out ideas for what would become our brand new Event Dashboard feature. A one-stop-shop for users to view event details, scan tickets and perform ticket related actions.
