Entertainment venue Chief’s celebrates the spirit and legacy of country singer Eric Church on Nashville’s famous strip of honky-tonks.

Perched at the corner of 2nd and Broadway downtown, just beside the Hard Rock Café, Chief’s on Broadway stands as a six-story embodiment of Eric Church’s ever-evolving musical journey. Since opening its doors in April 2024, Chief’s invigorates and electrifies Broadway, serving as a bar, restaurant, event space, and live music venue — all rolled into one. To top it off, Church’s fan club members even own a little piece of it.

5 Reasons Chief’s Is Music Fan’s Paradise and a Nashville Must-Visit

1. Surprises (and stages) around every corner

Each level serves a purpose with its own vibe and unique charm. With a ground floor dive bar dubbed ‘Chief’s Tavern,’ an intimate cocktail lounge one level up, plus a top-rated barbecue joint on the fifth floor and rooftop, Chief’s indulges taste buds in a lively atmosphere.

Nestled in between the food and drinks sits the Tixr-powered Neon Steeple — a unique two-story ticketed concert venue and live performance space on floors three and four. Stained glass and 19th-century church pews evoke a Gothic-revival ambiance, and Church himself christened the performance space with a 19-show fully reserved-seated residency to kick off regular programming from eclectic artists in his inner circle.

Chief’s sprawling rooftop is already making headlines thanks to Morgan Wallen’s infamous chair-throwing incident. A testament to Church’s healthy sense of humor about it all, new venue signage memorializes that “Our Pigs Fly, Our Chairs Don't.”

2. Two stories of finger-lickin’ culinary excellence

Overlooking Music City’s skyline sits Tennessee’s only Whole Hog BBQ location, featuring the only James Beard Award-winning chef on Broadway. This two-story, Carolina-style meat-lover’s paradise, founded by renowned pitmaster Rodney Scott, offers some of the best views of Broadway from the rooftop 'Hell of a Q.' Six active, visible smokers give guests a behind-the-scenes peek into the cooking operation.

Church and Scott thought of everything, including adding a street-level window with grab-and-go options, from brisket burritos to smothered chicken wings, that scratch the itch for a quick BBQ fix. At the heart of the restaurant operation, Scott’s signature disco ball centerpiece—featured in all his Whole Hog locations—symbolizes his belief that “Every day is a celebration.

3. Brick deeds for 40,000+ Church fans: “This is our house”

To express his gratitude for his diehard fans’ unwavering support over the last 20 years, Church surprised tens of thousands of his 'Church Choir' fan club members with personalized deeds to bricks within the building.

Via the "Find My Brick" website database, fans can enter their brick deed number to locate their specific piece of the establishment. For those who register their bricks online, Church took it a step further by offering additional rewards, including access to never-before-seen videos and digital collectibles.

“You’ve helped me build my career brick by brick, and I want the whole world to know that the building is yours,” Church told his fans. “This is not just another club downtown. This is our house.

4. Live broadcasting from the ground-floor studio

On top of the live music on Chief’s stages, its first floor studio is more than just a radio command center — it’s a dynamic hub bringing Church’s music and his influences closer to fans.

Primarily intended to air regular programming for Eric Church's exclusive SiriusXM channel, Outsiders Radio, the studio stands fully-equipped to record and capable of broadcasting live from Chief’s. When the 'QUIET UP' light flicks on for an on-air session, it might just signal the appearance of a special guest — potentially even Church himself.

5. A physical tribute to Church’s journey with fans

Personally involved in the restoration of the historic Leslie Warner Building where Chief’s sits today, Church made sure the space resonated with him authentically, reflecting both his story and the spirit of his fans.

Every corner is meticulously decorated with personal references, song lyrics, snapshots, and highlights throughout Eric Church’s journey from Carolina kid to one of country’s biggest stars. 20 stained glass windows adorn the second and third floors, each paying homage to his musical influences, and 4,000 concert posters spanning his 20+ year career wrap Chief’s Tavern floor-to-ceiling on the ground level.

In a few short months, Chief’s has quickly become a cherished destination for both loyal fans and new visitors. Not only does Chief’s bridge award-winning dining, libations, and entertainment in a versatile space, it caters to the diverse tastes and interests within Church’s own community, local Nashvillians, and tourists alike. Moreover, it’s a living testament to Church’s illustrious career and the legacy he plans to leave behind — where music and community come alive.
