Camp Flog Gnaw is a music festival-meets-carnival that takes place at Dodger Stadium, tucked away in the hills of Los Angeles, California. This year it will take place on November 10th and 11th. The carnival was started back in 2012 by Tyler, The Creator and his group Odd Future. Originally called OFWGKTA Carnival, Tyler launched the festival as an outlet for him and his group to put out their work for their fans as their tour came to an end.
Since it’s launch in 2012, however, the festival has grown quite a name for itself, especially after the line-up announcement for 2018. This year, the headliners include names such as Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, and Lil Yachty, on top of trending artists such as Rex Orange County, BROCKHAMPTON, and Kids See Ghost, the newest collaboration of Kanye West and Kid Cudi. On top of these household names, there are amazing new artists to fall in love with buried in the lineup. Raveena, the New York native R&B singer-songwriter, is one of those hidden gems. Her music touches her dark memories, while also providing a message of empowerment and positivity.
The most talked about artist on the list this year is the head of Louis Vuitton’s mens fashion, Virgil Abloh. Abloh has been involved in the music industry for years, collaborating with Jay-Z and Daft Punk, as well as DJing a few of his own intimate shows. After a year of success and endorsement from Kanye West, Abloh’s performance is one of the most anticipated sets.
On top of great music and a beautiful location, the carnival also has games and amusement rides for goers to enjoy in between the artist’s sets. Prices range from $250 to $1,000, depending on the GA or VIP bundle you choose. The weekend will be jam-packed with activities welcomed for all ages.
