The Palm Springs pool festival pulled fans in from well beyond the desert for two summer weekends, planning and booking their full trip in one place on Tixr.

Splash House takes over Palm Springs for two weekends every August, turning the pool decks of three desert resorts into daytime stages and moving the crowd to the Palm Springs Air Museum once the sun drops. The 2026 edition ran August 7 through 9 and August 14 through 16, with sets rolling across the Renaissance, the Saguaro, and the Hilton Palm Springs.

Booking the Whole Weekend on Tixr

Fully buying into Splash House means planning a trip; more than 80% of fans traveled over 50 miles to reach Palm Springs. Tixr gave the festival's audience one place to put it together, from the hotel room to festival access, shuttle passes, and add-ons.

The travel package anchored how fans bought, pairing a hotel stay with festival access in a single ticket. Committing to a weekend of that size asks more of a buyer than a standard festival admission ticket does, and flexible payment plans gave Splash House fans the room to do it. 20% of orders used a payment plan to spread the cost across the on-sale, clustered around the largest, trip-sized bookings.

Splash House sits within a wider shift in live events, where destination festivals draw fans into a far-flung weekend and give them everything they need to plan their trip. That model rewards the festivals whose ticketing can move with it.

A Crowd That Keeps Coming Back

Nearly a third of this year's buyers had been to Splash House before, a rate of return that points to a crowd planning its Augusts around the trip to Palm Springs. That loyalty gives the festival room to evolve without losing its core.

This year leaned harder into bass, with ALLEYCVT, WHIPPED CREAM, and Jkyl & Hyde cutting through a lineup long anchored in house and techno, and the programming reached past the pools into wellness sessions, a polar plunge by the shuttles, and off-site excursions around Palm Springs. Fans who return each year get something familiar in the format and something new in the details.

One Platform Across Three Resorts

Running Splash House means managing a festival that lives in three hotels at once, each with its own pools, stages, and room inventory, spread across two weekends. This year the Hilton Palm Springs stepped in as a host hotel while the Riviera underwent renovations, and Tixr let the team fold a new property's rooms and layout into the operation fans were already booking with.

From there, one system carried the weekend. The team managed inventory, tracked sales, and shifted allocations as demand moved between hotels and across the two weekends, all from the same place. When fans arrived, entry ran seamlessly on Tixr Door across the pool decks and the after-hours sets at the Palm Springs Air Museum.

As more festivals grow into destinations in their own right, Splash House has spent more than a decade turning an off-season Palm Springs weekend into one of summer's anchor events.
