This year Tixr makes its debut on a16z’s prestigious Marketplace 100, breaking into the list at Number 37.
For the past three years, top venture capital firm a16z (Andreesen Horowitz) have named the top 100 largest consumer-facing marketplace startups and private companies in a prestigious list they’ve dubbed the Marketplace 100. Over the years a16z have backed some of the most iconic startups in the world, including such companies as Coinbase, Roblox, Airbnb and Asana, to name a few.
Maintaining its Number One for the past two years is the grocery app powerhouse Instacart. Other well known companies from this year’s list include merchandise marketplace StockX and care sharing company Turo. In its very first Marketplace 100 list, Airbnb held the top spot. Other “graduates” from the list in years’ past include such well known brands as Depop, Rover, Classpass and Bandcamp. Companies graduate from the list through an IPO or acquisition.
Being recognized by such a well-respected organization as a16z is a huge milestone for Tixr!
