We couldn’t be more excited to announce our Canadian expansion with industry veteran Stéphane McGarry at the helm.
Once a prolific concert promoter, Stepháne pivoted to ticketing where his career flourished in a variety of sales-focused leadership roles, including a long tenure at AudienceView as VP of Sales, weathering Vendini and Cvent acquisitions.
"Stéphane's track record speaks volumes. Not only has he established enduring relationships with clients and led operations to excellence in music, sports, and beyond, but his character and reputation precede him as a standout individual within our industry,” said Robert Davari, Co-Founder and CEO of Tixr. “He's consistently added value to every organization he's touched, and collaborating with him has been on my agenda for years. Stéphane is, without question, the right leader to drive our expansion and oversee our operations in Canada."
With a growing local Canadian team now five-strong across partnerships, operations, and client success divisions, we'll have representatives in Alberta, Ontario, and Québec and soon-to-be additional provinces as the team scales.
Under Stéphane's leadership, we’ll be strategically growing Tixr’s presence in the region, building upon our diverse roster of current partners in the Great White North including the nationwide Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, New City Gas, Sonic Unyon, and Sonic Concerts.
Most recently, Canada’s epic 11-day Cowboys Music Festival, renowned nightclub Stereo, largest gaming expo Game Con Canada, and national sport governing body Athletics Canada joined the Tixr partner network for our flexible and modern e-commerce technology and ability to expand the touchpoints with fans beyond traditional ticketing.
“There’s no denying that Tixr has the most modern tech stack and the best UX in the business, on top of an amazing company culture,” said McGarry. “The growth opportunities in Canada are immense with this stellar team and the versatility of our product which can service such a wide array of complex event types — and do it well.”
