Tixr Sports Expands with First Collegiate Partner: Mercer University’s NCAA Division I Athletics and Arts Programs

Our first foray into the college market brings Mercer University onto a single cohesive, fully-digital ticketing platform for easy access to its impressive slate of athletics and arts events.

With approximately 9,000 students enrolled across 12 schools and colleges on major campuses in Macon and Atlanta, medical schools in Macon, Savannah, and Columbus, and regional academic centers in Henry and Douglas counties, Mercer University is a dynamic and comprehensive center for higher education. Founded in 1833, the school ranks as a top tier national research university by U.S. News & World Report and is the only private institution in the state to field a NCAA Division I Athletic Program. Starting with the 2023 academic year, we’ll serve as the primary ticketing platform for both Mercer University Athletics and Mercer University Ticket Sales (MTS), the central hub for performances at Townsend School of Music, Mercer Theatre, and all events at The Grand Opera House.

A new chapter for Mercer athletics and arts

From Bears football games to arts performances throughout the school’s various venue spaces, Mercer University is modernizing its ticketing operations with an elevated fan experience on par with the look, feel, and energy of its students, alumni, and community. Season tickets for Mercer Bears football and individual performances at The Grand Opera House are already on sale, gearing up for the return of students to campus this fall.

Chase Bloch, one of our Partnerships Executives here at Tixr, comes from a collegiate sports background, formerly coaching swimming at the University of Southern California.
