Two of the world's most ambitious destination festivals wrapped their first editions with Tixr, drawing global audiences to extraordinary settings in the Americas and raising the bar for live events at scale.
Latin America has become one of the most electric destinations in live music. Each winter, Zamna Tulum shuts down a stretch of Mayan jungle in Tulum and turns it into one of the most anticipated electronic music series on the planet. Each spring, Envision transforms a coastal rainforest in Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula into a week-long celebration of music and community that draws thousands of international fans each year.
Though unique in character, the two festivals share a level of scale, cultural depth, and operational complexity that demands more than a standard ticketing setup. 2026 marked both Zamna and Envision’s first edition with Tixr, and both delivered standout fan experiences on a global stage.
Zamna Tulum: Twelve Nights in the Jungle
December 31 – January 11, 2026
Zamna Festival unfolds across 11 hectares of Tulum jungle, centered around a natural cenote where the Mayan landscape and the music go hand in hand. What started as a single event in 2017 has grown into a global brand with editions in Ibiza, Miami, Egypt, and Bali, but Tulum remains the anchor of the series.
The 2026 festival ran twelve nights, drawing 120,000 attendees from over 100 countries and marking the brand's biggest season yet. Each night was its own distinct experience, featuring world-class performances by artists like RÜFÜS DU SOL, Keinemusik, Black Coffee, and Justice. Mayan Warrior made their Zamna debut, bringing tribal-inspired production and glowing lights into the setting for the first time. The energy extended well beyond the festival grounds, with hotels across Tulum hitting 90% occupancy and restaurants booked solid for the full two weeks.
Attending Zamna isn't a simple ticket purchase. Fans coming from across the world are making travel decisions, choosing which nights to attend, where to stay, and how deep into the experience they want to go. Within Tixr, that entire journey lived in one place. Artist-specific hotel packages tied each headliner to a curated stay, and the Zamna Multipass let fans lock in access across any three nights without committing to the full series. Backstage experiences, Casa Zamna travel packages, and Village Access rounded out a catalog that grew to over 60 ticket types across the season. For a festival of that size, that level of purchase depth reflects the same intentionality as the event itself.
The 2027 edition is already on the horizon, with Multipasses available on Tixr for fans ready to start building their experience.
Envision Festival: Seven Days on the Costa Rican Coast
February 23 – March 2, 2026
Envision Festival takes place at Rancho La Merced in Uvita, where the rainforest of Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula meets the Pacific Ocean. One of the most biodiverse regions on Earth, the environment is woven into every part of the experience. Now in its 15th year, Envision has built a devoted international community around eight pillars: music, movement, art, community, spirituality, sustainability, health, and education.
Fans from around the world arrived for its 2026 edition, spending a week immersed in what feels more like a living community than a traditional music festival. Five distinct stages each carry their own identity and energy: Luna's dramatic fire-lit production, the treehouse structure of Lapa, the intimate Bambú stage, the surreal El Circo, and the neon-lit Village Stage tucked among the trees. Beyond the music, daytime programming features sunrise yoga, breathwork, healing ceremonies, and live painting steps away from the Pacific.
For most attendees, the process of building their Envision experience on Tixr started weeks before they set foot in Costa Rica. Envision managed over 1,000 ticket types for the 2026 festival, covering admission passes, camping, accommodations across partner properties, and time-slotted activities like surfing, skydiving, tours, and massages.
Operating a seven-day festival in a remote jungle environment also demands reliable on-site infrastructure. Offline scanning with Tixr Door ran smoothly in conditions where strong WiFi isn't always a given. New ticket types and scanner profiles were built on the fly as needs evolved across the festival, and equipment was tracked across multiple zones throughout the full run with zero devices lost.
Looking Ahead
The most talked-about festivals right now are creating experiences rooted in music, community, and culture. Many draw fans to places that require real commitment, planned trips, and a relationship with the event that starts long before they arrive.
Zamna and Envision are exactly the kind of events we built Tixr to support. As destination festivals grow more complex and more global, the technology behind them has to grow with them. We're proud to be part of that.
